Yes - raise the roadway. Use larger stone than 1-2" for your base. Then the 1-2 inch on top. Grade the drive so there is a mound in the center and water sheds off to the sides. Regrade when necessary to keep the mound in the middle. Google how to build a roadway and use the same principle. Most people don't and end up with ruts and holes.
