So here was my cure. Start/control panel/all control panel items/FlashPlayer open it and on the menu bar go to advanced then look down to trusted location settings clk it. I had the black screen of Max Keiser playing so I just copied the address and pasted it in the add site/website domain then clk confirm and close.

When the game is launched there is simply a black screen before even the unity logo shows up, the duration is about 5 seconds. Checked on 2 devices: S6 and 1st gen Moto X, the duration is about the same. The scene loaded on start-up is a simple menu with almost no logic, just some buttons.

The video just appears black on Android devices and eventually crashes the unity part of the app. We've got other markers that display 3D assets too and they work perfectly fine on Android. If we only run the Unity project separately the video works on Android, so this only happens when the project is integrated. Everything is fine on iOS.

When running a build, Unity loads as usual but then fades into the scene from black. There is a delay before the black screen begins to fade, but the game is already running. I catch the menu animation halfway finished by the time the screen fades and on other devices it fades so late that the animation is entirely finished.

Windows builds for my game work fine, but when I build it to Android, it loads, shows the "made with Unity" screen, then fades to black. Now, I know the next scene (an animated logo) is running because it is playing the audio in real time. However, nothing in the scene is visible. Then, the UI for the in-game loading screen appears.

The phone should have had acces to the WLAN at my home (which itself is password protected ofc, but if the system is running, the password is saved there) so the password change on Webroot could have been checked.
